Macedonia City no longer accepts payments through our vault at Fifth Third Bank.

INCOME TAX

The tourist tax rate is 2.50%. Residents receive a 100% credit for income taxes paid to other cities up to 2.50% of their taxable income of the town of Macedonia. City Macedonia residents are entitled to a 0.25% tax refund for any paid municipal income tax that is 2.50% or more of the resident’s income tax. A resident is not entitled to a municipal income tax refund if the total amount of municipal income tax paid to a municipality other than Macedonia is greater than or equal to 2.50% of his taxable income.

All income taxes are administered and collected by the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA), which will act as the city agent. All municipal income tax payments for the current or previous tax year must be sent to RITA instead of Macedonia. When paying by check or money order, the check or money order must be payable to RITA.

The Installment Program (TIP) is available to help those who cannot pay their bill in full by the due date. Owners who enroll in this program can avoid late payment penalties. All taxes and assessments must be current to be eligible. The deadline to apply for the rate plan is February 25, 2022, the last day of the first semester 2021 property tax.
